As Saint Joan of Arc School nears our centennial in 2027, we are reminded of where we started and how far we have come. We are able to celebrate our achievements including the remarkable distinction of being awarded the Blue Ribbon three times. We also recognize the essential foundation that makes such success possible – our dedicated and talented teachers.
The SJA educators devote their time, passion, and expertise to cultivate the minds of our students, nurturing a love for learning that extends far beyond the classroom walls and yet they continue to earn roughly ½ that of a public school teacher.
In order to maintain the caliber of education our families have grown to expect into the next 100 years, we created – the Teacher Salary Initiative.
This initiative aims to ensure that our teachers are not only recognized for their hard work but also compensated appropriately for their invaluable contributions.
Saint Joan of Arc School is a community that understands the importance of investing in education. It is through the combined efforts of parents, faculty, and supporters that we have achieved the heights we celebrate today. However, we cannot rest here; we must continue to strive for excellence.
Our goal is to raise funds to enhance teacher salaries, acknowledging their dedication and ensuring that we can attract and retain the best educators for our students. By doing so, we not only show our appreciation for their tireless efforts but also invest in the future success of every child who passes through the halls of Saint Joan of Arc School. During our Annual Gala the past three years, the paddle-raise, Gracious Giving, has collected funds for this initiative from the generosity of our community. We have raised X and look forward to adding to this amount annually through fundraising and other efforts.
