Registration
Registration takes place in August/September.
Active Season
Winter season. Basketball begins in early November and runs through mid-March.
Practice Frequency
There are typically 2 one-hour practices per week that are held in the SJA gym.
Games & Tournaments
As a member of the Tri-County Catholic Conference, SJA basketball teams play 10 – 12 regular season games, plus playoffs/championships. Games typically take place on the weekends, but may occasionally take place on a week night.
Participation in elective tournaments is at the discretion of each team’s coach(es).
Parent Volunteer Commitments
Parents are expected to assist with admissions and/or concessions at your child’s regular season home games and SJA hosted post season games. Volunteer assignments are disbursed among all families on each team. Parents will also be asked to assist in gym set-up or clean up if your child’s game is the first or last of the day.
Uniform Costs
Uniform shirts, shorts, and training jerseys will be provided and must be returned at the end of the season.

St. Joan of Arc Robert P. Connelly Basketball Award
Given annually to both an 8th Grade girl and boy basketball player and is based on academic achievement, outstanding leadership, spirit of cooperation and positive attitude in school. Recipients of this award are selected by the teachers.
