St. Joan of Arc Catholic School is thrilled to be named a 2023 National Blue Ribbon School for the 3rd time based on our overall academic excellence and performance factors. The coveted National Blue Ribbon School award affirms the hard work of our students, educators, families, and community in creating a safe and welcoming environment where students master challenging and engaging content.
Having previously won in 1985 and 2011, we are so proud of being honored again. The Education Department recognizes all schools in one of two performance categories. Our award was in the category of Exemplary High Performing Schools with test scores in the top 15% of the nation.
St. Joan of Arc is a community of learners who work together to achieve excellence in all that we do. We strive to embrace the whole student academically, emotionally, and socially, and to affirm the uniqueness and dignity of each child. Our teachers aim to know each student personally, so they can truly deepen each child’s learning experience. This doesn’t stop at the end of each school year. Teachers continue to follow the progress and success of their students for the entirety of their time at St. Joan of Arc.

With this 40th cohort, the National Blue Ribbon Schools Program has bestowed approximately 10,000 awards to more than 9,000 schools. In 2023, they awarded this honor to 353 schools nationwide with 20 of them being in Illinois.
