Registration
Registration takes place in February/March.
Active Season
Spring Season. Track & Field begins in April (after spring break) and runs through mid-May.
Practice Frequency
Four practices are typically held each week in the evenings that take place at either Lisle Junior High, Lisle Community Park, or SJA. Athletes are required to attend a minimum of 1 practice per week, but are encouraged to attend as many as they can.
Meet Information
Five meets are held throughout the season, all taking place on Saturdays:
- 3 regular season meets
- 1 divisional meet (required to qualify for the championship meet)
- 1 championship meet
JV meets (5th and 6th graders) run from 8:00am-12:00pm. Varsity meets (7th and 8th graders) run from 12:00-4:00pm.
Track & Field Events:
- Individual events are 75M hurdles (7th/8th), 75M, 100M, 200M, 400M, 600M (5th/6th) 800M, 1600M (7th/8th).
- Relay events are 4X100M, 4X200M, 800M Medley, 1600M (7th/8th).
- Field events are high jump, long jump, triple jump, shot put, javelin (5th/6th) discus (7th/8th).
- Athletes are allowed to compete in 4 events per day.
Parent Volunteer Commitments
Volunteers are needed at every meet. Parents are asked to volunteer at a minimum of 2 meets throughout the season.
Uniform Costs
A uniform shirt must be purchased and will be your child’s to keep at the end of the season.

St. Joan of Arc George Zak Track Award
Given annually to both an 8th Grade girl and boy who have participated in track all 4 years and is based on attitude, effort, teamwork and sportsmanship. Nominations are submitted by the track coaches and approved by the track coordinator and athletic director.
