Junior High Physical Education

The goal of physical education class is to build the students' knowledge, skills, and confidence to enjoy a lifetime of physical activities. Students will demonstrate fundamental movement skills in a variety of contexts, cooperate with and encourage classmates and engage in several different physical activities/team sports/games (volleyball, basketball, badminton, pickleball, dance and various other activities). The students participate in the Fitnessgram assessment to help gain a better understanding of their own health-related fitness and use the results to create SMART fitness goals. Seventh and eighth grade students are also offered a Social Dance program taught by an outside professional dance instructor.

PE Uniform

St. Joan of Arc issued red shirt with black lettering and black shorts. Gym shoes and athletic socks are required.
