Junior High Social Studies

Sixth grade social studies has a focus on world history, examining periods from the Stone Age through the Renaissance, including ancient Greece, Rome, China, India, and the Middle East.

In seventh grade, students investigate the formation of the United States, as it relates to European exploration and will study for and take the United States and Illinois Constitutions, continuing with the early development of our nation.

Eighth grade analyzes more recent U.S. history from Reconstruction through the Civil Rights Movement and produces a research project that mirrors the National History Day competition.
