Junior High team on their 1st place finish in the Battle of the Books Competition

Congratulations to the Junior High team on their 1st place finish in the Wheaton Library Young Adult Battle of the Books Competition. The team had been hard at work since June. The library provided a list of 20 books for the season. The students participated in 6 rounds of competition where they tested their knowledge of those books against other private and public schools.

These students read an average of 14 books. This is SJA's only competitive non-athletic team. They have finished in 1st place in 4 out of the past 5 seasons. Their continued success truly exemplifies why we are a Blue Ribbon school. If you ever want a book recommendation, this is the group to ask. Way to go Readers! We are so proud of your accomplishment.
