St Joan of Arc Legacy Society
THE LEGACY
The St. Joan of Arc Legacy Society has recently been created in order to recognize the gift of “planned giving” funds for St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church and School in the future.
WHY SHOULD I CONSIDER THE LEGACY SOCIETY?
The Legacy Society provides you the opportunity to perpetuate your giving; the goal of the Legacy Society is to attract bequests to St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church and School.
HOW CAN I JOIN THE ST. JOAN OF ARC LEGACY SOCIETY?
The Legacy Society helps provide funds for future needs of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church and School. If you have made provisions for St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church and School to benefit from your generosity in the future, please contact the St. Joan of Arc Development Office (630-353-4566) and you will be formally recognized as a member of the Legacy Society.
PLANNED GIVING…
A TRIBUTE THAT WILL LAST
You can provide now for a future gift to St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church and School by including a bequest provision in your will or revocable trust. Your will or trust directs a bequest for the purpose(s) you specify.
Gifts frequently donated to churches in wills or trusts include cash, appreciated securities/stock, real estate, artwork, life insurance, remainder of IRA, Keogh, tax-sheltered annuity and retirement plans. The benefits of funding a planned gift can make this type of charitable giving very attractive to both donor and charity.
THE BENEFITS OF A BEQUEST
- Your assets remain in your control during your lifetime.
- You can modify your bequest if your circumstances change.
- You can direct your bequest to a particular purpose; be sure to check with St. Joan of Arc Parish to make sure your gift can be used as intended.
- There is no upper limit on the estate tax deductions that can be taken for charitable bequests.
- You may choose to designate that we receive a specific sum from your estate (for example $50,000), or you may choose to leave a percentage of your estate (for example 5%).
- You even have the option of “endowing” your gift to provide a lasting financial resource
