SLP

All SJA students have access to assistance through specialists at St. Joan of Arc School.  A Special Education teacher, part-time teachers, a Speech Pathologist, and a Social Worker provide our students with the following academic and special needs supports.

Supplemental Learning Program (SLP)

•    The SLP is an academic “pull out” support program for students in K – 8th grades.
•    Participation in the Supplemental Learning Program is by teacher referral.

Speech and Language Resources

•    A Speech Pathologist works on-site with qualifying students on Mondays and/or Fridays.
•    Special Education speech services are offered in a “pull-out” small group setting.

Social/Emotional Needs Resources

•    A part-time Social Worker is available to meet with individual students or groups of students.
•    The ‘Rainbows Program’ is offered on-site weekly during the lunch period for
1st – 5th grade students.
