The St. Joan of Arc School Board is a consulting board, serving in an advisory capacity to the Pastor and Principal in strategic, legal, financial, policy, and confidential matters. Key committees of the School Board include Long Term Planning (includes grant procurement), Finance (includes annual budget and tuition-setting), Political Advocacy, Marketing, and Technology.
The school board is made up of elected St. Joan of Arc parishioners selected through a discernment process. The umbrella role of the board is to advise on policy directions for educational programs of the school, and to provide support for disciplinary procedures. Administrative and discipline decisions are the responsibility of the principal within the framework of established school policies subject to regulations from the pastor and the Joliet Diocese Catholic Schools Office.
