Drama Club

The SJA Drama Club has a long standing tradition of high quality musical productions that involve a large number of students interested in drama, music, and dance.  The group is open to students in fourth through eighth grade by audition.  In October, a workshop is presented by the directors reviewing the audition music and script lines, and the auditions are held the following week.  Roughly, 70-80 students in two casts will be chosen for jobs both onstage and behind the scenes.  Rehearsals are held after school every Wednesday from October through April.  The performances take place in late April.

Some of the past shows have been Peter Pan, Mulan, Honk, The Little Mermaid, and Beauty and the Beast.  This year,  the story of Horton the Elephant, the Cat in the Hat and all of your favorite Dr. Seuss characters spring to life onstage in Seussical JR., a fantastical musical extravaganza.  The Cast 1 performance will be Friday, April 27, and the Cast 2 performance is set for Sat., April 28.  Both shows begin at 7PM, and are held in the St. Joan of Arc School Gym.
