Thanks to our wonderful PSO for the flowers and breakfast retirement recognition on Friday. St. Joan of Arc is truly a very special school and will always hold a dear place in my heart.
6th grade–we continue work on punctuation.
7th grade–test Monday on capitalization. There will be a few questions on types of sentences.
8th grade–continue with Buddy Books.
Vocab. unit 14 if students would like extra credit.
8th graders must be in school by 6:45 Tuesday for 7:00 field trip departure. We pray for good weather!

6th grade–we review capitalization Monday and Tuesday and test on Wednesday.
7th grade–we are working on persuasive writing. Paragraphs are discussed and written in class then typed, printed, and saved at home. Paragraphs count as a homework grade. Final copy due next Monday.
8th grade–continue work on Buddy Books
Vocab. unit 13 work due Tuesday.
We are running very low on tissues. Any contribution is greatly appreciated.

6th grade–we completed the writing assessment today! For the rest of the week we will be looking at rules of capitalization. There will be homework assignments nightly.
7th grade–test Tuesday on sentence structure. We have reviewed this extensively.
8th grade–continue work on Buddy Books.
Kleenex supply is VERY low. Any contributions are greatly appreciated.
Vocab. unit 12 test Tuesday.
Yearbook orders are still being accepted.

6th grade–we are working on expository writing for the diocesan assessments. This is entirely in class work. No homework during this time.
7th grade–we have been working on sentence structure. There will be a quiz on Tuesday on simple, compound, complex. Test will be next week.
8th grade–Tuesday we begin rotations for Buddy Books, high school reading, and etiquette. These will be in 6 day periods of time.
vocab unit 12 work due on Tuesday.

6th grade–we are working on a class writing assignment, preparing for expository writing. Next week we will cover commonly misused or confused word pairs.
7th grade–students are writing the diocesan assessment on persuasive writing. This is done entirely in class; no work is taken home. No homework assignments or tests this week.
8th grade–sentence structure is being studied. Simple, compound, complex, compound-complex sentences. We will quiz on Wed. and test Friday.
Vocab. unit 11 work due Tuesday
