Reminders:  Junior High  field trips are Tuesday, May 22nd   Eighth graders should arrive to school by 6:45 for a 7:00 a.m departure.  Please dress for the weather, as of today it looks to be a beautiful day!  We should arrive back to the South Lot by 7:00 p.m.

Math news:

8th Grade:

• 8-1 will prepare lessons Monday and be ready to present on Wednesday and Thursday.
• 8-2 will have a Ch. 13 quiz over radicals and the Pythagorean Theorem Thursday.

7th Grade:

• 7-1 will have the Ch. 10 Relations and Functions test on Friday.
• 7-3 will begin Ch. 11 this week, no test or quiz.

6th Grade:

• 6-3 (Red) will have a Ch. 10 area and perimeter test Friday. Look for a study guide to be sent home Wednesday.
• 6-2 (Blue) will have a Ch. 9 test Friday covering area and perimeter.

May Crowning is Friday, May 11th at 1:00.  Students will be in uniform, and should bring their graduation gowns to school that morning. Names should be  inside the gown, either on the tag or on a piece of masking tape.  Boys should wear or bring a tie to school that day. Pictures will be taken in the gym immediately following 8:15 Mass.

Vocabulary:  Unit 13 book exercises due Tuesday.

8th Grade:

• 8.1 -  We will continue to review for the Algebra Proficiency test as well as the Algebra final.
• 8.2 – The Ch. 12 test on Systems of Equations will be Thursday or Friday.

7th Grade:

• 7-3  There will be a Ch. 10 quiz covering multi-step equations Friday.
• 7-1  We will begin Ch. 10, Relations and Functions, with a quiz on Friday.

6th Grade:

• Both 6-2 and 6-3 will be working on Area and Perimeter this week. There is no test or quiz scheduled for either group. 
• 6-3 Simple Solutions lessons 101-104
• 6-2 Simple Solutions lessons 97-100

Math Update:

8th Grade

• 8-1:  We will begin the week with a quiz covering concepts in Ch. 6-8 and then continue our review in preparation for our final.
• 8-2:  Ch. 12 (Systems of Equations) quiz on Friday.

7th Grade:

• 7-1:  The Ch. 9 test will be Friday.
• 7-3:  Following a review of equations, we will begin Ch. 10. There may be a Ch. 10 quiz on Friday.

6th Grade:

• 6-3: (Red) The Ch. 9 (Measurement and Geometry) test will be Tuesday or Wednesday. Simple Solutions lessons 97-100 this week
• 6-2 (Blue) The Ch. 8 Geometry test will be Friday. Simple Solutions lessons 93-96 this week.

• 6-3 (Red)  We will continue to work through Ch. 9 covering angle measure, perimeter and circumference. No test or quiz is scheduled at this time.
• 6-2 (Blue)  We will continue to work through Ch. 8 concepts covering circles and polygons. No test or quiz is scheduled at this time.
