I hope everyone enjoyed this summer weather this weekend!

Can not believe that this is our last full week in school!

We will be finishing up assessments, putting our ABC books together and visiting with the kindergarten teachers.

The Toads will be attending MASS on Wednesday, May 30th with the 4th graders.
Both the Toads and the Tad Poles last day of school is Friday, June 1st! Both classes will be having their end of the year party on this day.

Hope all of you mom’s had a wonderful day!

Can you believe we are almost done? Time has gone by so fast this year. Our last day is Friday, June 1st. Both the Toads and the Tadpoles will be having class parties this day. More information will be going home next week.

We will continue to explore the SMARTBoard and take turns drawing, tapping and moving items on the board. Soon they will all be better then me. Did they tell you about the magic tricks we found?

During the next to  weeks we will be finishing up end of the year projects and I will be giving the Toad’s their kindergarten round up assessment so you will not need to attend the kindergarten round up at school. I will send home a copy of the assessment with their report card

Can you believe that it is already May! I can not believe how fast this year has gone. I am enjoying watch all of my students grow.
Have the children told you about all the wonderful games and activities we have done on the SMARTBoard? We have been having so much fun exploring the Board! We will continue to play and explore the SMARTBoard!

Reminder we have gym on Mondays and Thursdays with the Toads and Friday with the Tadpoles.

Toads:

We will be reviewing letters and letter sounds,  will be assessing the students next week for their kindergarten round up sheets.

We have been working on what starts with this letter and this past week I introduced what does not belong. We will continue to work on this concept this week.

We have been exploring the post office. I hope you have enjoyed their love letters as much as I have.

Tadpoles:

Exploring the post office, they have enjoyed also pretending to be buying different items and using the cash registers.

We will be making a special Mother’s Day card.

Using our special pens to make umbrellas.

WOW! Did we have a great week. We had so much fun at our PJ party. Yummy popcorn and a great movie!
We also got to go and see the play Beauty and the Beast! All of the students loved the play and the actors and actresses did an awesome job!

The Kitchen area has been put away and a special surprise is waiting for the students to explore!

We will continue to explore the SMARTBOARD! We have been having lots of fun on the SmartBoard! I have made a few different games for us to play with this week.

Toads:

• we are getting close to the end and I will begin to assess the students on their letters and letter sounds next week.

• In school we will be doing several different types of activities to review the letter sounds.

Did the students tell you the AWESOME NEWS! Our SMARTBOARD is up and running. We have taken some time to check out all the different things we can do. We will continue to explore the SMARTBOARD during circle and center time. We are loving the new addition to our classroom.

WEDNESDAY IS PJ DAY!

• wear your pj’s to school
• bring a blanket or sleeping bag to lay on
• we will be eating popcorn, drinking juice and watching a movie
• you may also send your child’s snack

Friday both the Toads and Tadpoles will be going to see the play Beauty and the Beast. We are all very excited to see the play.
