Mrs. Anderson’s Week of May 14th Update

Mrs. Anderson’s update for the week of May 14th
Details regarding our upcoming field trip will be coming home in this week’s Wednesday envelopes.
***All 7th graders should take a look at Mr. Gormely’s blog for a family faith exercise you can do at home with you parents.
In Science This Week:
All grade levels should continue to keep up will assigned reading, vocabulary, and lesson review questions. I do give points for completing the section review questions and vocabulary for each lesson. Please remember vocabulary definitions and lesson review questions should be kept in your science notebook to help you study for the chapter test.
6th grade
We will be starting Chapter 9.
All 6th graders may wear their ACE t-shirts to school instead of your uniform shirt on Wednesday, May 16th. Uniform pants/skirts and shoes must still be worn.
7th grade
We will be taking the test on Chapter 15 on Wednesday this week.
8th grade
We will be starting Chapter 19 this week. The test on Chapter 19 will be next Thursday, May 24th.

Please remember any student who scored below a 76% on their science test has the opportunity to raise their test grade 5%points by doing the following.
• Take the test home and have their parents sign the test
• Look through their science book and find the correct answers for the questions they got wrong.
• Write the correct answer on the test (in a different color ink) and write down the page number from the science book that you found the correct answer on.

Students will have one week to complete this to earn the extra points.

Mrs. Anderson’s update for the week of May 7th
Tuesday, May 8th is 7th and 8th grade Culver’s Night! All proceeds benefit the 7th & 8th grade homerooms.
Friday the school will attend May Crowning at 1pm.

We will be finishing Chapter 18 on Light. The test on this chapter will be Tuesday, May 8th.
